| Merrie England Weekend & Half Term at Hever Castle |
31 May - 5 June. Merrie England Weekend for all the family while children can dress up this half term at Hever Castle.
During the Merrie England Weekend on the 28, 29, 30 May, visitors will be able to stroll around a number of medieval stalls in the grounds of this thirteenth century castle. A coin striker, a fletcher, silversmith, pewterer, leathermaker and ropemaker will be amongst the stall holders demonstrating and selling their Tudor crafts.
The Company of 1415 will be defending their honour in foot combat wearing traditional suits of armour and using Tudor style weapons. They will also give a spectacular display of the use of the longbow as a military weapon
From Tuesday 31 May Sunday 5 June children will be able to dress up in armour and Tudor dresses, get the knight ready for battle and listen to the archer talking about his longbow. Once again on the 4 and 5 June there will be a display of the longbow as a military weapon.
